Route 360 Solutions Initiative Receives Funding for its Re-afforesting Freetown City Project From Global Greengrants Fund

We are excited to share that we received funding from the Global Greengrants Fund (GGF) for our tree-planting project, “Re-afforesting Freetown City (RFC),” aiming to plant 10,000 trees and educate 10,000 people about deforestation, reforestation, and afforestation in 50 communities in the Western Area of Sierra Leone by 2029. The project, directed by our Founder and CEO, Joseph Turay, will kick off by planting 1,000 or more trees and educating 1,000 or more people about afforestation, reforestation, and deforestation in five communities in the Western Area of Sierra Leone by the end of 2025. We hope to utilize the funding from GGF with additional funding from the National Geographic Society and The Nature Conservancy to achieve these goals. We appreciate GGF’s financial support in bringing the RFC project to life.
